Lou Karsen is a documentary filmmaker based in the Pacific Northwest. Over the past 15 years Lou has produced two feature docs, numerous award winning shorts, and countless commercial and nonprofit videos. In 2008 Lou shot his first feature length documentary, Renaissance Village, the site of the largest post-Katrina FEMA trailer park. In 2011, Lou directed Still, a category winner at Hot Docs. His doc Shell Game won best short at Local Sightings, and his featurette Visionary Insight was an official selection at the Seattle International Film Festival. Lou contributed as a DP to the award winning doc feature Return to Mount Kennedy (2019).
